Happy Halloween

Halloween turned out great this year! Sophia really enjoyed herself and I think its because she had more of an understanding this year. We started out rushing to get to school on time, turns out there was flooding from the night before and school was delayed by 2 hours. The director of the school e-mailed the parents but I did not check my email so early in the morning. Luckily I called when we were down the street from our house and found out about the delay. Jason and I had planned a day date of movies but that did not happen as a toddler does not let you sit and watch a movie. At 11 we took Sophia to school and I came home and took a 2 hour nap (yes 2 HOURS) while Jason hung out with Ms. O. I woke up in such a wonderful mood. I really needed the nap. After a bit of lying around we picked up Sophia and took her to the Halloween Spooktacular downtown NB. It was an awesome event for our community. The police closed streets downtown and we were allowed to Trick or Treat door to door at the shops. After spending time downtown and letting Sophia run around we headed home to watch Sid the Science Kid Halloween Special. We danced and sang and Soph had a great time. At 6 we decided to go Trick or Treating and Sophia did so great. She said "Trick or Treat" "Happy Halloween" and "Thank you" all night. She even told the dogs "Happy Halloween Dogs". Once we were done getting candy we headed home to give out candy. Again Sophia loved it, she gave out some of her candy and even directed the kids on where our candy was. Sophia was allowed 2 little boxes of Nerds and 1 lollypop all day. I think we did pretty good. I don't know who was more excited about the day me or Sophia. Oh and Ms. O just hung out and slept all day. Great day!
