Our Little Miracles!: Eslin turns 3

Sophia's best friend Eslin turned 3 and Sophia was so excited to celebrate her birthday with her. Sophia is usually shy in new situations. She likes to stand back, observe and then slowly make her way in. When we arrived at the Jumpy Place for the party, Sophia jumped right in. Eslin was running with her cousins and Sophia quickly became friendly and ran around with the girls. My heart was filled with pure joy. As a mother of a child who is shy and scared in new situation, I loved seeing the smile and joy on her face. This was the first time Jason and I did not have to follow behind her. She ran, jumped, slid, and played...HARD! I don't think Sophia and Eslin left each others side the whole night. I love seeing these girls get older together. Their conversations and interactions are fun to watch. Sophia and I practiced singing Happy Birthday to Eslin. She was so excited for the time to come. I was a little worried as Sophia kept asking (before the party) if she could blow out the candle. I explained that it was Eslin's birthday and Eslin would be blowing out the candle. She didn't seem to like that answer too much so when the time came and Eslin blew out the candle, Sophia was so proud of her and clapped. I was relieved and loved seeing how proud Sophia was for Eslin. Eslin is a headstrong, independent girl and I love seeing that little munchkin grow. She says the funniest things like "my name is Eslin Stinky" or "Ophia" or the fact that she wrote ALL OVER the walls at her house. Okay not funny for Nicole. She has the cutiest hair and the best attitude. She is happy go lucky but can stand her ground. For this reason, we have found Sophia and Eslin fighting rolling on the ground. Eslin we are so happy to have you in our lives and I wouldn't want anyone else as Sophia's bestie!!! We love you!
