The Big D!

If you know me then you know I am in LOVE with Dallas! I so wish we could move here. I went to SMU for a bit when I graduated high school and left back home. I loved everything about Dallas. I soooo wish I had stayed at school there but life goes on. We don't make it to Dallas that often but when we do I fall more and more in love. It seems like they have everything there. Jason is not into Dallas. He likes to visit but that is it. This past weekend we all packed into our car and drove to Dallas. On the list: State Fair, Arboretum, Zoo, Aquarium and visit a friend. We only got to go to the fair and arboretum but it was awesome. Jason and I worked Friday but we left that night. We gave the girls a bath put them in their PJs and drove. We arrived around 10:30pm, checked into our room and went to bed. We woke up on Saturday and headed to the Arboretum. We had never been and it was beautiful! They had all the pumpkins out and the girls had a blast running around. Sophia even got to play at the splash pad they had. FUN! We left so the girls could take a nap. Sophia woke up screaming crying that her ear hurt. Jason and I decided to take her to the Med Clinic where we found out she had an ear infection :( That didn't stop that little monster from being her usual self. She told everyone hi and talked their ear off. When we left we met up with my family and had dinner at a restaurant called Dee Lincoln. It was such a nice place to have dinner. The weather was nice and we got to sit outside and catch up. With our lives so busy we hardly get to spend time together. Afterward we went back to the hotel and had drinks. On Sunday I woke up with a horrible headache. We had planned to go to the State Fair this day so I was disappointed because I didn't think i was going to make it. Jason took the girls and I stayed at the room and slept. I woke up around noon and felt much better so I headed out to find my crew. Of course they were in the kids section with Sophia. Jason said Sophia's whole attitude changed when I got there. Poor little munchkin is attached to mommy's hip. We rode rides, ate food and let Sophia play some games. We then headed back for a nap with intentions to head back to the fair at night. That didn't work out. My brothers went back while the rest of us took a ride around Dallas searching for my dream house (hey I can dream)! We got up on Monday and drove home. It was a great weekend! I wish we could have done more but its hard when you have little kids. I didn't get to show Sophia and Olivia their future University (wink) and they are eager to attend :)
