Terrible Threes?!?

Where do I begin? Sophia has learned so much. It seems like her communication skills just went through the roof. She is so smart, silly, beautiful, fearless but ? fearful?, stubborn, persistent, opinionated and hard headed.  Sophia has always been those but I honestly thought we got through the terrible twos with flying colors....WRONG! I think we entered the terrible threes, I didn't even know there was such a thing. After researching I have found its real. Sophia's tantrums have gotten louder and longer. She talks back....ALOT! She tests us daily and argues about everything! The sayings I hear daily:
"I didn't do anything"
"STOP"
"I'm mad at you"
"Leave me alone"
and the all time favorite:
"I can do it"
Sophia has slept in her bed from day 1. About a week ago this changed, she started screaming that she wanted to sleep with mom and dad. I moved a toddler bed from upstairs to our room and it worked for a while but we are back to the screaming at night. We wake up exhausted. Its almost like we have a teenager on our hands.
As much chaos that we feel like we are going through it is still exciting to see Sophia learn new things. She can have me so upset and then turn into an angel. We took a mini vacation not to long ago and she tells me "Thank you for having me mom" I said " Thank you for choosing us, baby" she said "You're welcome mom, it was easy". I was in love all over again. This kid knows what she's doing. She has her dad wrapped around her pinky and I will admit she has me wrapped as well....a little :)  As much as I love this age because we can communicate so much more its also a very trying age. Hopefully these days will go by quickly and I can keep my sanity.
