Weekend wrap up
We had a fun and laid back weekend. Friday I was exhausted from work and the girls were going a million miles a minute. Jason was off and had the girls all day but being the wonderful husband he is, he took the girls to play outside so I could rest. I watched a little tv but couldn't beat the thought of not spending time with the girls so I headed out with them. By the time I got out there, they were drenched in sweat. The official 100 degree weather started and the humidity makes it worse. Saturday, Jason and I had to work. When I got out I picked up the girls and took them to San Antonio. One if my very best friends from high school was having a house warming party. This was her first home and I wouldn't miss it for the world. You know the saying "that friend that you never talk to but meet up with and its like you never left off" well that is my and Tee. I've known this girl since we were in elementary. She and I were always up to something but our moms loved that we were friends. It was so good to catch up with her family and introduce them to the girls. I forget how much fun and laughter there is when I see these ladies. Around 8 we decided to hit the road and Sophia was so sad to leave. On Sunday morning we just lounged and played pretend. Sophia and Olivia have these bears they think are babies. They walk them in strollers, change their diapers, take them to the park and take them to lunch. Sunday we put chairs out and let the girls pretend they were riding the park train. I collected tickets, yelled all aboard, gave them a tour of the park, and instructed them to scream while driving through the tunnel. They had a blast and waved to everyone at the park. Best train ride I've been on...air conditioned and no bugs 😉. After Jason got off of work we drove to seguin to see Uncle Gilbert, Aunt Courtney and the boys. Sophia was so excited. The boys are a rowdy bunch and Sophia loves it! They played video games and ran around the house. Sophia kept trying to hug and kiss the boys. It was so funny cause they are at the age where they think girls have cooties. It was funny to see them run and hide. It was a great weekend and I can't wait for the next. We are headed to our favorite vacation spot. We are excited!
