Mommy/Sophia Day

My very good friend works for a doctor who has season passes to The Majestic Theater. The Little Mermaid was playing and the doctor couldn't attend so she gave my friend 2 tickets. Well my friend decided not to go and gave me the tickets. To say I was excited doesn't even describe my feelings. I have been waiting so long for a night like this. Me, Sophia and a night all to ourselves. First stop...drop Olivia off with grandma. That little stinker was not happy. We all do things as a family all the time so Olivia was upset to be left behind. I felt bad but realize that my kids need their own time as well. After the tramatic drop off we headed to Toys R Us. Sophia and I walked around and browsed through every aisle. I realized how much fun she had, I'm sure she would love to do this everytime we go to a store but its usually rush, rush, rush. She finally settled on a Minnie Mouse cash registar. Next up.....dinner! Sophia is a typical kid and loves PIZZA. I however am not into Gattis, Peter Piper or Chucky Cheese. We compromised and had California Pizza Kitchen. It was quiet, peaceful and gave us a time to catch up. I loved hearing all the thoughts come out of that little head. She is so smart and funny. We talked about school, toys and the Little Mermaid. The pizza was great and Sophia ate all her dinner (this doesn't usually happen). Then it was time for the show. Of course they had a special Mermaid drink for the little girls. I should have read the ingrediants because the drink had Sprite. Sophia has never had soda. At intermission Sophia needed to use the bathroom because her stomach hurt so bad. She cried and asked to go home. I felt so bad because we had been having a great time but the soda hurt her belly. After an escorted walk to our car by a very nice police man, we headed home. Although the night ended not how we would have liked, Sophia could not stop talking about her mommy/Sophia date. I can't wait for the next one!!!

We dress like twins!
