One

Olivia officially turned 1! I can't believe that a year ago I was putting Sophia to bed feeling what I thought were Braxton Hicks contractions. I had 1 week to go until delivery and I just been to the doctor who said I was 3 cm dilated. I thought for sure Olivia would arrive on time. Instead Sophia was being very stubborn that night and waking up every 2-3 hours and I was walking up and down the stairs putting her back to bed. Still feeling contractions but not bad. I couldn't really sleep that night as I couldn't get comfortable. The pain persisted all night and about 5:30 am I was biting the sheet through contractions. I'm telling you people your mind plays tricks on you. Trust me when I say I'm a tough cookie but used to meds to make me feel better. So when I was in labor, I HAD NO IDEA! I was for sure I would drive to the hospital and they would send me home. Jason saw me biting the sheets and said it was probably time to get checked out. My mom came over to watch Sophia and Jason drove me to the hospital. The pain again was bad but not terrible. Jason dropped me off at the door around 6:00 and I could barely walk. We made it to labor and delivery just in time. I pushed once and Olivia was out. TRUST ME folks it was no easy task. The only thing that kept me from screaming was 1) I didn't think I was in labor. 2) I didn't want to look like a screaming fool in front of the whole hospital and 3) I really thought when I got to the hospital, they would give me an epidural. Why I say your mind play tricks. As soon as the nurse told me there was no time for an epidural I let the emotions come over me and I balled and screamed. Next thing I know I had this beautiful little lady staring at me. The experience was so different this time around. Olivia was calm and loved to cuddle. She didn't cry much and was so relaxed. To this day, she is what I call an easy baby. She loves her mommy, watching Sophia, when her daddy makes her laugh, pasta, pizza, milk, being mobile, A/C, nap time, riding forward facing in the car seat, saying Hi and Bye, talking (even if we can't understand), laughing, brushing her teeth and just about anything else. Olivia dislikes when Sophia is in her face, water over her head, being lugged around when she's tired, heat and being carried. Olivia is slowly learning to walk. She takes steps and then realizes what she is doing and sits down. She walks when she doesn't realize it and to mommy. You can't really get her to walk for any other reason. Once she realizes you want her to walk her legs become jello. She's like uh no thanks! Ms. O has her 2 bottom teeth and her fangs up top. I don't know how she does it but she eats EVERYTHING! Olivia is progressing so much at school. Ms. Shelly and Ms. Angel lover her! I always hear that she had a great day and she is a good baby.  She is starting to walk more at school too. I picked her up on a day they had "Pizza Day" and they were so surprised that Olivia ate the most pizza. She is the youngest in her class just turning 1 while everyone else is around 15 months. She out ate them all. I was not surprised at all. Olivia thank you so much for choosing me as your mommy. I love you so much and everyday with you is a blessing! You complete our family and I can't wait to see what the future has in store for you! I love you baby girl!
